Notice is hereby given of the Thirty Sixth Annual General Meeting of the Tuggeranong Valley Rugby Union Football Club Inc.

Which is to be held on the Tuggeranong Rugby Union Club Erindale premises (Ricardo Street) in the Sportsman's Bar. Thursday 20th November, 2008 commencing at 7.00pm

NB. Financial members only will be admitted to the AGM and the doors will be closed at 7.00pm sharp and no further persons will be admitted until after the election of office bearers is completed.

STRUCTURE OF THE COMMITTEE

Paragraph 27. The Committee shall be comprised of the following positions:

(a) President
(b) Vice-President
(c ) Treasurer
(d) Club Captain: and
(e) 5 other general Committee positions

The positions referred to in (a), (b), (c) and (e) shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting.
The Club Captain shall be elected by members in of the Club in the two weeks preceding the first competition round.

Delete last sentence in 27 and replace with:

The Club Captain shall be elected by members on a date set by the Committee during the period between 1 November and 31 March each year.

Paragraph 31A. Insert the words 'Club Captain and the' in the first sentence between the word the and the number 5 so that the paragraph reads:

In the case of the Club Captain and the 5 general Committee positions, these are filled by the mechanism above. An election by secret ballot or by show of hands shall only be necessary where there are more nominations than positions.
Written nominations are filled prior to nominations from the floor.
