First Grade: Vikings 15-Royals 69
A depleted Vikings First Grade were demolished 69-15 by a Royals side determined to end a three game losing streak. Royals built their win on the back of a 38-3 lead at halftime which Vikings had no answer to. The loss halfback Beau Mokotupu and hooker John Ulugia mid week did not help Vikings cause and to add to the loss Vikings fullback Cameron Wyper was taken to hospital with a suspected broken ankle, but was later cleared.
Colts half's combination of Dave Haskew and Henry Afasamaga, both on debut, played well in a losing side along with second grade captain Richard Joyes.
Second Grade: Vikings 14 - Royals 12
A missed penalty late in the game cost Royals any chance of making the semi finals but allowed Vikings Second grade to cement a spot in the semifinals.
Colts lock George Uilelea continued his outstanding form in the second row and was well supported by Ryan Slater and Lix Lealiifano. In a game that became very heated at times three player were sent from the field, Vikings held their nerve and put in a good team effort to win.
Third Grade: Vikings 17- Royals 38
The opportunity to grab second spot on the ladder eluded Vikings third grade on Saturday going down 38-17 to Royals. Missed passes, turnovers and droped balls proved costly for the Redmen but they have a chance to redeem themselves this weekend and press for second spot.
Veteran forwards Matty Smith, Dave Mailau and Anthony Brew all had outstanding games and will lead the front come semi final time.
Fourth Grade: Viking 3-Royals 26
Vikings fourth grade must beat Easts this week to keep their semi finals alive after going down to Royals 26-3. In an often spiteful match Vikings couldn't build any momentum as Royals experience campaigners lead by former Brumbies prop Matt Weaver propelled Royals to victory.
Colts: Vikings 14-Royals 5
In a very close match in which former friendships were cast aside Vikings colts prevailed to win 14-5 against Royals. With the majority of both teams having being ex-school mates both teams through everything into the game.
The win secured colts a place in the major semi final in two weeks time and ended Royals season. Lock Pete Henry has shown the benefits of playing in a higher grades with an outstanding game followed closely by JP Aualiitia and Scott Irwin.
The Colts still have a lot of improvement left in them and will step up training over the next two weeks in preparation for finals.
Vikings Division 1: Vikings 3-Hall 12
In a close match at Hall, Viking Division 1 went down 12-3 to Hall. Despite the loss the Redmen remain in the finals hunt and will be looking to cement their spot over the next two weeks. The task not made easier with games against competition favourites Goulburn and second place Cooma in the next two weeks.
Michael Montgomery was outstanding, constantly causing Hall headaches at halfback, and was well supported by Steve Dewar, Jared McHugh and Callum Green. The game also signaled the return of coach Geoff Adam to the frontrow.
Women's: Vikings 0- Royals 40
The Vi-Queens were no match for the competition favourites Royals, going down 40-0. Despite the loss the girls never gave up and now have the week off to prepare for the semi finals.
